Challenges of
Digital Europe
Competitiveness
Processors power all the smart devices and services we use today. They are key to innovation and industrial competitiveness in a digital world.
High demand
These challenges require increasingly complex and precise simulations, the processing of enormous amounts of data or the training of sophisticated deep learning networks.
Sovereignty
Europe needs accelerators that satisfy the growing demand by ensuring technological sovereignty, security, privacy and respect for the agreements reached in the Green Deal.
From Barcelona,
with European vision
Openchip has been selected by the European Commission as an Important Project of Common European Interest
to support research, innovation and industrial deployment of microelectronics and communications technologies across the value chain.
This initiative is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan promoted by the Spanish State and which has the support of all administrations.
Purpose
Openchip
Lead the development of the next generation of European chips, to positively impact the advancement of society.
Consolidate the European microelectronics ecosystem by promoting the entire value chain of design and marketing of high-performance accelerators.
Openchip creates high-performance and energy-efficient accelerators, essential for the European digital transformation. Openchip devices will accelerate scientific discovery, visualize large amounts of data and be included in countless devices to provide intelligent services to consumers on a large scale.
What we do
Our technology
Openchip is a company that designs accelerator chips for HPC, AI/ML/DL. These accelerators are designed with silicon technology nodes and under RISC-V architecture, to be globally competitive and achieve digital sovereignty in the HPC domain.
Our partners
promoters
For more than 30 years, GTD has been providing world-class engineering in software, communication and control. It implements both products and turnkey solutions for the world’s most demanding sectors: aerospace, security, defense, logistics, energy and science.
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) is the national supercomputing center in Spain. He specializes in high-performance computing (HPC) and manages the MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in the world. It will be the early adopter of Openchip accelerators
Our
partners
Are 56 company from 14 countries
that will deploy 68 projects with an investment of 8.100 millons euros from the Member States.
