Barcelona, April 29, 2026.- Great to be back at the OCP EMEA Summit 2026 in Barcelona (April 28–29), which once again confirmed its role as a key event in the open infrastructure ecosystem, with record attendance and a very strong technical level.
At Openchip, we contributed by sharing our vision on open silicon and artificial intelligence. One of the highlights was the session “Open Silicon for Sustainable AI”, where we discussed the evolution toward more distributed AI infrastructures, spanning data centers, edge, industry and robotics, as well as the need to accelerate standardization to make this transition a reality.
We also participated in the System Chiplets Working Group and the Women of OCP session, reinforcing our commitment to open collaboration, interoperability and diversity. During the event, we also had the opportunity to exchange views with George Tchaparian, CEO of OCP, on the evolution of the ecosystem, addressing aspects of strategy, innovation and sustainability, as well as the organization’s upcoming challenges.
Across the keynotes, one message was clear: the industry is moving from “chip to grid”, with increasingly flexible architectures and a strong focus on sustainability. Industry players, including NVIDIA, emphasized how rapidly accelerating AI demand is redefining infrastructure requirements, particularly in terms of energy and cooling. In this context, it is important to reflect the collective role of all ecosystem players in this transformation.
As OCP celebrates its 15th anniversary, it continues to establish itself as a key driver of open innovation at a pivotal moment for the industry.
Great conversations, new ideas and strong motivation to keep contributing to this community.
