Openchip strengthens connections at MWC26, 4YFN and Talent Arena

Barcelona, March 2–5, 2026 — Openchip reinforced its position in Europe’s tech ecosystem during MWC26, 4YFN and Talent Arena, joining thousands of professionals, innovators and industry leaders who came together to unite human and tech capabilities. Openchip seeks to consolidate its position as a leader in innovation, attract talent and generate strategic  connections.

At the 20th edition of MWC Barcelona — one of the world’s leading connectivity events — nearly 105,000 attendees from 207 countries and 2,900 exhibitors convened to shape the future of the digital industry. Openchip was present in Hall 4 under the Spain Pavilion, organized by Red.es, which attracted 16,000 visitors, marking a 23% increase year-on-year.

 

Within this framework, Openchip participated in high-level exchanges shaping Europe’s technological future. CEO Cesc Guim joined a panel addressing European–Japanese cooperation in semiconductor development, while Chief Innovation Officer Ivan Rodero took part in a roundtable exploring the strategic role of AI and edge computing in strengthening Europe’s technological autonomy.

At 4YFN, the company engaged in discussions on AI and cybersecurity. Chief AI Officer Steven Latré highlighted emerging vulnerabilities in AI systems, emphasizing the need to integrate robust security practices into the development of new technologies.

Meanwhile, at Talent Arena in Fira Montjuïc, Openchip engaged with Europe’s next generation of digital professionals. Chief Software Officer Edgar Gonzàlez delivered a keynote on “AI and Europe’s Digital Destiny,” exploring how AI can strengthen Europe’s digital sovereignty while aligning technology with societal values. A hands-on workshop led by Steven Latré, Bohdan Denysenko and Igor Peric provided practical insights into AI agents and building GPT models from scratch. CEO Cesc Guim also shared the company’s vision for responsible AI and Europe’s strategic role in semiconductors during an interview on TV3’s program “Tot es Mou”, reinforcing Openchip’s commitment to purposeful innovation.
